She poured the oil over the gate’s hinges, and it swung open silently. The gate was so squeaky that Natasha thought Baba Yaga would be sure to hear her open it, so she searched around Baba Yaga’s fence until she found an old can of oil. Natasha was almost out! She only had to get through Baba Yaga’s garden gate and escape into the forest. He was so busy eating the cheese that he forgot to scratch at Natasha’s ankles or to meow for Baba Yaga. Meanwhile, the spell granted is a blast of cold to harm and slow foes. Baba Yaga grants her witches the ability to temporarily animate an object and move it around, even having it attack for them, useful for both combat and for moving objects to where they are needed. She offered the cheese to the cat, who gratefully took it. Each patron also provides a unique hex and spell. With the exception of using the pestle as a weapon, the mortar and pestle must be together to use the their abilities. Natasha searched in her pocket and found a piece of cheese leftover from her breakfast. Baba Yaga can summon her mortar and pestle to fly to her from anywhere on the same planet, regardless of the commands of any creatures inside it. She found it came from the skinny cat that lived beneath Baba Yaga’s front porch. He happily began chomping away and couldn’t be bothered to bark at her as she sneaked out of the hut.Īs she shut the door behind her, she heard a loud hiss. When within 60 feet of the hut, Baba Yaga gains her. In addition to defending its master and obeying her every command, the hut acts as Baba Yaga’s source of power. Baba Yaga’s Hut acts as both a companion and her very own coven. Bright Blast (Su) Three times per day, the Red Rider can erupt in flames, damaging all creatures within a 20-foot radius. Natasha was scared, but as soon as Baby Yaga went to bed she planned her escape!įirst, she gave a bone to Baba Yaga’s hungry dog. Baba Yaga has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Baba Yaga told Natasha that if she were ever lazy or didn’t complete her work in time, she would cook her up for dinner. After she walked inside, however, the door slammed shut behind her and Baba Yaga locked her in!īaba Yaga told Natasha that she would have to stay there forever to clean her house and do all the chores. She came upon Baba Yaga’s strange house and thought she would knock on the door and ask for directions. One morning, a young girl named Natasha was walking through the forest. However, visitors to her hut should be careful - sometimes Baba Yaga traps them there! If they offer a good trade sometimes Baba Yaga will help them. In doing so, her magical hut also appeared elsewhere, and was reported to have arrived on Faerûn. Some described her as the most powerful female mage ever known, a sorceress with a reputation for passing throughout the planes. Unlike most witches, she doesn’t fly on a broom - she flies in a bucket instead, and uses a broom to push herself off the forest floor.īaba Yaga knows many things, and occasionally people come to her hut seeking wisdom.
